Green Beauty Intel: Vitamin C Derivatives

1 135 views | 7 Apr. 2019

Hi Friends!

The main

Hi Friends!

The main takeaway from this video is that the verdict is out of Vitamin C derivatives. Have you seen improvements with the use of one?

So I mention several studies:

1# Source is:

Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, 11, 310--317

Stability, transdermal penetration, and cutaneous effects of ascorbic acid and its derivatives

Available on Read Cube

2# study:

J Invest Dermatol. 2002 Nov;119(5):1103-8.

Vitamin C derivative ascorbyl palmitate promotes ultraviolet-B-induced lipid peroxidation and cytotoxicity in keratinocytes

Available on Pub Med

Products I mention:

One Love Organics Vitamin C serum

Odacite Autumn on the World

Kypress Beauty Elixir Balancing flowers

Osea Sea Vitamin Boost

100 Pure Vitamin C serum

Orgaid Sheet masks

Mad Hippie Vitamin C serum

Amber Herring

Great video! I love you educational science videos.❤️

Owl Girl

Thanks Marie... you are amazing .. this was so informative...❤️✨??✨

The Floraesthetic

Live Botanicals Brightening Serum And Biossance Vitamin C Oil have Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, I love both of them! But if I want to go with the pure l-Ascorbic I reach for my Arcona Serum which has 20%.

This video is very informative. I was thinking on trying out other derivatives but I’m in it for results. Companies are always looking up new ways to separate us from our money. Do you think mixing up a vitamin c serum on my own would be beneficial? Using lotion crafter or ordinarys vit c powder at a proper pH. I’m confused as why skinCeuticals would be dramatically better. I know there’s freulic acid and vit E but what makes them so special and more effective and damn near $200. Hope you and baby are well. Stay blessed.

OMG, large and in charge! You are the best ? Ok, back to watching the video

Galdjlajf aljaljdfladjfla

Thank you, Mamita Bonita. Sigh. There’s just no easy fix, right? Ya, we would all be using ascorbic acid or L-ascorbic but the fact is, for so many, that shite irritates. Meh. Those that offer buffering are immorally priced. It’s a puzzlement. ?☹️?

Girl... Your videos are GOLD

Ok, off topic, but how do you get to look so tan without aging your skin?❤️xo - Shaun

Well Helloooo Gorgeous!! Your skin is beautiful!! OK, so thinking back over the few vit C products I've tried (none of which contain l-ascorbic because a. irritating and b. corn) the one that worked best, the Juice Beauty Stem Cellular serum, combines MagAP w/ acids like lemon, apple & grape juices. The next best, from Luxe Botanics, combines camu fruit w/ APalm. The Juice Beauty worked the best for evening out and brightening w/ absolutely no irritation. The Luxe was also good, especially at brightening, but left my skin a bit irritated by the time I finished the bottle.
Oh and I almost forgot... love seeing the anthuriums! They always remind me of my grandmother who loved those plants. I don't know how she managed to grow them here outdoors, but she did!

Your videos are gold

Tbh, I haven't noticed any visible improvement in my skin with any Vitamin C product. However, hope springs eternal and part of me keeps murmuring... maybe if you didn't use x,y or z, then you'd notice that things are going downhill much more rapidly!

Janice Duerr

When I saw your video, I wondered if you were still waiting for the arrival of new baby :) Hope you deliver soon. I am really liking the Bluh product from BH but I also like MaeLove and Sunday Riley. Sadly, I cannot afford most of the BH products after the monthly box.

This was sooo informative ? thanks for all the research-backed data!

Hi Marie I have tried vitamin c a few times with no luck lots of irritation this was such a wonderful and informative video You look beautiful have s great week friend ???

C Wang

My perspective is that if I’m going to go through the trouble of adding a vitamin c serum to my skincare regimen, I’d rather just go with something that has proven efficacy. Luckily, I tolerate both arcona youth serum and maelove’s glow maker well.

My Life Wendy

Hi My Sweet Friend.. Well you know my favorite is Activist Skincare and she uses.. L-Ascorbic Acid .. I can only go by how it has helped my skin,.,. every time I use another type I always come back to this and I guess everyone will have different reactions.. Thank you so much for doing this research and sharing the links.. I know I can always count on you to do the research (is that taking advantage of our friendship lol ?) Nah.. it simply means I trust you!! Love you my friend xo

A lot of these i find work ok for me for a few weeks then bam, no results at all or irritation. This is after having patch tested for awhile. Most recent fallen comrade in this is the One Love Organics Vitamin C which is an oil based serum, worked ok for a bit then started craziness. I wish I knew how to treat the large deep long horizontal lines I have on my forehead now with something that wont set my skin on fire. My skin is so sensitive.

This B-Vitamin Can Raise Dopamine (Thiamine tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide - TTFD) EONutrition

This B-Vitamin Can Raise

This B-Vitamin Can Raise Dopamine (Thiamine tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide - TTFD) EONutrition

AKA Thiamax.

✅ BUY TTFD Here:

Thiamine tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide (TTFD) is the synthetic counterpart of allithiamine, occurring naturally in garlic. Thiamax contains thiamine tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide, a derivative of thiamine (vitamin B1) with high bioavailability. This form has been shown to cross the blood-brain-barrier and can bypass normal routes of thiamine absorption, with a higher rate of uptake both in the gut and at the cellular level.

Unlike other forms of thiamine supplementation, TTFD’s molecular structure allows it to pass through intestinal and cellular membranes without the requirement for a transport system. Once inside the cell, it can be activated and used as a cofactor in important biochemical processes. TTFD also has a demonstrated capacity to penetrate the blood brain barrier and increase thiamine levels in the brain and central nervous system, where it may be used to support optimal cognition and maintain autonomic nervous system function. Due to its superior bioavailability, TTFD can be taken in much lower doses than what is considered the “therapeutic dose” of other forms such as thiamine salts.
