I finally review the La
Thanks Cyrille i,m trying this sunscreen 1 week ago and I love it!! it's very very fluid and light.
There’s a dupe for the Shaka Fluid here in NL by Ambre Solaire Sensitive Expert Fluid. It’s about half the price and can be even less when it goes on sale. I haven’t had trouble using it even though I have rosacea and use tretinoin (for almost 2 years).
This sunscreen disappears on the skin, but it has alcohol and it ruined my face. I understand it's needed for the formula, but I try to use it sparingly now.
Hello, is it safe to use during pregnancy?
Cyrille, I am not sure if you’ve tried it but the Garnier Ambre Solaire Sensitive UV Face Fluid has a practically identical ingredients list to Shaka but, oddly, it is more matte on my skin and doesn’t irritate it or break me out like Shaka. It’s the strangest thing. They did add hyaluronic acid to the formula unlike Shaka. Do you think that has anything to do with why it doesn’t bother my skin or why it absorbs better than Shaka?
Today I review the La
Love this sunscreen ?
The ppd of this sunscren is 42.At least thats what it says on LRP website. At least the european one.
Wow this one sounds amazing! Will definitely try it one day, but i have to work through my sunscreen stash first haha
Hi Cyrille! I was set on buying the Hada Labo Gel sunscreen (thanks to your reco) but I'm now debating whether to get this amazing LRP one instead after watching this video. (Maybe I should get both? ?)
Anyway, which do you think is better for someone with combination skin who lives in a tropical, hot & humid Asian country? I have fair Asian skin that easily burns. Greasiness on the face is okay with me as long as I prevent premature aging! ☺️
As always, love your videos! I watch every morning! ?
Also, when I put on cream on my hands, I just spread the excess from my palms to my elbows so as not to waste any product ?
When papers say “avobenzone is stabilised by tinsorb s” is the avobenzone completely stabilised or does it just slightly prolong it?
Hey everyone today's
Hi, I really liked your video.
I wanted to ask you, if sunscreen is good for faces with acne.
Thanks, ily!
Great video!
Hey , Please I want to order it from a website but I wonder if the tinted colour is the same or we choose ?
Ps: In the website I'm going to order from they don't mention it
Hey guys! Hopefully you will find this video helpful, let me know what sunscreen do you use?
How's the coverage? Maybe like a bb cream? And what's the shade like in MAC or other foundation tone for reference?
Hi, I'm a new subscriber! Have you done a review on any of the Avene organic sunscreens? If you haven't, I can't wait to hear you do one. If you have, I need to look harder for it LOL
We dont have shaka fluid in canada, we have ultra fluid, is it the same?
Chemical sunscreens do not protect me enough.
Yeah PA rating is guessing. I wish they will renew the rating system with a better one.
I love this product! Thanks for the advice on layering :-)
I use the tinted version of this product, does this change anything? Is the formula still good?
Very informative thank you! So have I understood correctly: with the Japanese/Korean/thinner textured/gel textured sunscreens it’s best to use those in Winter? And then thicker creams in Spring/Summer to ensure full protection? I work outside year round and want to make sure I protect my skin properly but really thick creams year round become a chore! So I’d love to try a gel sunscreen during winter. Thanks again!
Hello Cyrille! I LOVE shaka fluid, But I had to change it because when I started using a little bit of retinol (neutrogena retinol, to build the tolerance of my skin and start using vitamin A) my skin started to get irritated and burned a little. It must be the alcohol in the sunscreen? I have ordered mineral sunscreen on Amazon because here in Belgium I cannot find. But now, with the virus situation I’m skeptical and I don’t want to order anymore. What sunscreen do you suggest to buy here in Belgium? I will be soon out of my mineral sunscreen. Thanks!
What do you think about Australian Gold spf50 tinted ?
Why mine has no PA++++ symbol?
Hi cyrille! I love your sunscreen videos. Can you do a video of Isdin sunscreens? You mentioned one that has 60 of uva protection
Would love a review on the Uriage sunscreen :) I tried to find the XP version but I believe it was discontinued.. which is unfortunate because that one was a PPD of 65 which is one of the highest I've seen at an affordable price :/
I'm using Tretinoin from one year. The only sunscreen that does not make me very very oily is the Shaka fluid and the Anti-shine line. If my skin is very irritated by a pealing for example, I feel a little bit of tingling for the first 10 seconds, and that's all ? Since the Antishine is very very mat and peals I often mix both of them... I am not sure if that can interfere the filters. What do you think, since they are the same brand with similar filters?
I find the shaka fluid too liquidy, really difficult to apply the recommended amount. And it's still quite shiny. My skin was a bit more irritated with this sunscreen and some visible capillaries that I had lasered away returned during the time I used this sunscreen, I suspect the alcohol, because it stings a bit as well when I apply it. The positive, it doesn't feel heavy and it's whitecast free, with overall good uv filters.
Thank you so much for your content ! Are you considering testing the LRP spf50 face mist ? I don't usually trust sprays but this could be revolutionary for reapplication don't you think ? Cheers !
Omgg yesss a review of isdin!!!!!!! ❤️❤️
Way too much denatured alcohol, it's second on the list which means it must be a high concentration! I tried this before and it really dried out my skin ?
Thank you for your review of this product. I'm concerned about denatured alcohol or ethanol in sunscreens as I thought alcohol causes photosensitive damage to skin when exposed to UV. Is this true?
Hi Cyrille ! I heard that LRP have changed their formular recently for the whole anthelios line. I haven't purchased any because of the confinement and I don't think the information on their site is updated. If you are interested you can check them out ?
Great informative video again. Lucky for me My skin tolerates the fragrance free version sunscreen. However, I am going to start with Retinol so thanks for the heads up! Going to try the Ultra. And please a review of the ISDN. I see them a lot in Belgian pharmacies and I always was curious about this brand.
Niu devrait bientôt sortir une crème solaire minérale 50+ (normalement prévue en juin), est-ce que c'est possible d'avoir un avis dessus quand elle sortira ? :p
Can you tell me about the la roche posay "comfort" one? I can't find it online so is it possible they changed the name or the bottle? Its supposed to be for sensitive skin.
And also I have sensitive acne prone combination skin. I don't want shiny/greasy. & I don't want the salicylic acid because I already use that ingredient in other products. Please help
Please review the Isdin sunscreen!
? Ahlala toujours un plaisir de voir tes contenus❤️
Also, can you please please review the Bioderma Photoderm Kids Spray SPF 50+ (PPD 39)?
It's BETTER than the LRP Shaka. It's alcohol and fragrance free, filters are Uvinul A Plus, Tinosorb S, Uvinul T150, Octisalate and Homosalate. Completely transparent. Suuuper gentle since it's a kids sunscreen.
It's very lightweight, but it's more moisturizing and slightly more emollient/viscous than Shaka, so it's easier to apply the correct amount. It has the consistency of a lightweight lotion/emulsion. Very elegant. It's seriously amazing ❤️?
I'm currently using the Photoderm Max Family Milk, but I much prefer the Kids Spray.
What I don't like about the Shaka is that it's basically water, it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to apply 1/4 tsp. I gave up on it for this reason
The most comprehensive sunscreen dissection i've ever watched. Thankyou.
Is these sunscreen Mineral?
Interestingly this Anthelios line always having Mexoryl SX all the way down to the bottom of the ingredient lists, like 3rd or 4th from bottom. The Mexoryl XL also somewhere middle of the list, like 12th or 13th from top. No idea if they are significant in product.
On the other hand, sunscreen from L'Oréal such as the UV Perfect line is having these uv filtres way up there, like the 3rd or 4th after water.
I'm so annoyed that brands don't disclose the exact uvapf. I realized that lrp shaka and garnier ambre solaire uv fluid have almost the exact same ingredient list. I messaged with Garnier and they told me that their uv fluid also has a minimum uvapf of 46
Is this water and sweat resistant? For how long?
why dont you recommend hado labo white any more. i bought that one!
Is it true that because sunscreens are tested on bare skin it is not known how much one sunscreen can protect when we put a moisturizer before it? So i was wondering can we put sunscreen on bare skin after cleansing
I must be the only person who finds the Shaka really greasy, even despite the high alcohol content :(
yes Isdin please!!!!I love the texture!!!
Wow, this was the most comprehensive and detailed sunscreen review ever! And I loved it. Thanks Cyrille! I have a question but it’s not about this sunscreen (sorry!), would you consider reviewing Altruist SPF 50? I’d like to know its UVA protection :)
It says No Parfume - dough it smells a lot of parfume!
Also it says Its for Sensetive Skin dough there os a lot of alcohol in it ... This doasnt make sense for me ...
My skin tickles when using it...
Can you kindly recomend a sunscreen for very sensetive skin that nureshes and hidrates skin?
Cyrille, what do you think about the new Roche Posay Anthelios Anti Imperfections?
I'm curious about your opinion about its filters. Thank you! Great job, I love your science backed reviews and, of course, your accent!
You should try uriage bariésun xp cream spf50+ it has a ppd of 65 or Altruist SPF 50 which is ppd 45+
60 UVAPF?? Sunscreen is going through amazing journey ??
Hi Cyrille. Love Shaka. Also because it's one of few that is friendly to my eyes. Another one is Galderma Daylong Extreme. Have you tried it? Supposed to have very high UVA protection too. Thanks a lot, your content is great!
I used this sunscreen for years, then I think they changed the formula. It left yellowish streaks on my face and it pilled up as the day went on. I now use Avène sunscreen without any issues.
Cyrille, would you be able to review the Ultrasun Extreme SPF 50+? I would love to see you apply it. I want to know your thoughts before I import it from Europe. Thank you!! ☺️?
