I'm a type one too.  You are beautiful.  Missing new videos from you!

Donna Ellis

Gorgeous!!

B. Bailey

i LIKE the bright yet dark purple color she wore originally; why is the color chart so strict if none of us are all "one" type? i would not be able to stand being constricted to certain colors because they are not true to my "type"(s) - and those stick-out cuffs would make me crazy. But i have to admit that when she came out, she looked FANTASTIC. i the new colors are pretty on her and do bring her out more.

Bobby C.

i would think she was a 3 by her outfit but you said she is ready doing it? but I love the new look you gave her and its totally doable. so cute. i don't know how you can look and see what people are. with color code and the are you a winter, spring or fall colors all these different aids. she would be a spring and you call it a one and yours incorporate body language and hair sty;e really amazing. Nice job
who would think put a pink sweater on that blue shirt? I have totally given up on what I might be lo, but these are fun to watch.

Jayne Randall Morrison

So beautiful! Where can we find this outfit!!??

Valkyrie

I love your original necklace! And from seeing your previous videos you were already bright ?
I do love the blue shirt and it'd look great with jeans and your other necklace but the baubles are a bit much I think. I find dyt transformations a little cookie cutter really but good as a guideline!
You looked lovely Kelly already.

I'm reading the dress your truth book right now, and I'm pretty sure I'm a type 1 (though haven't finished reading the 4 descriptions, yet)
I love these colours, but the outfit looks frumpy! I much preferred what she was wearing originally

Johanna Mendez

Fellow Type 1/4 beauty badass, here, Kelly!I LOVE the colors they chose, and the layering is fun but I think what happens with a lot of DYT's transformations is that the clothes (being fresh from the store) aren't really fitted. I also notice in general the DYT choices tend to be a bit too modest. You are 1)very petite and 2)extremely youthful looking and 3)have a killer figure, so seeing you sort of drown in the outfit's fit gets a bit matronly. I guess I always dread a frumpy fit. I follow your stitch fix reviews, and I usually love the items you keep. I thinks the sleeveless, fresh and airy style is much more you. In any case, it's great to hear the tips they gave you are shaping your ever evolving type 1 style. Ypu always look so gorgeous and I do love the hair! :D

Hello my name is Sarah

This gave me chills!
So beautiful Kelly:)

I love to Dress My Truth. Keep up the videos. I share DYT with lots of people.

Melanie V

I am type 4 and I just got an ombre in black to rose gold. I keep thinking that it needs to either be brighter pink or just all dark.

Bobby C.

im a 4 hands capricorn but i like type 2 hair and I have curly hair. but i hate type 4 clothes, like the adams family. the thing about curly hair you have to wash everyday because it a mess if you slip on it

Delia realtor

I think I’m a type 4. My hair is grey now but thinking of coloring. Not sure what color to do, some friends say platinum and some say go back to brown.

gettin' there Janice

I am a type 2 have made the move to dread locks put them in my self back in august but with no help from any friends small business saturday I am headed to an african run solon in my town that accomedates more african styles more true to persons with that texture. I don't happen to have that texture. I have a slight wave mostly straight. the decision was before I learned my type. I really want to keep it. my decision was based on the fact I go through periods of time when my hair falls out at a significantly more than normal rate and that more sensitive nature is aware of what seems like every single hair that falls out lays on my head and drives me crazy. I like the idea that the hair could fall out and stay with the dread. and I don't have to comb it every five minutes. yes when my hair is in high shead mood it can litteraly be every 5 to 10 minutes I need to atleast run my fingers through my hair to get the loose hairs out. also when I grow my hair out it is too stimulating to not have my up in a ponytail and I would have to take my ponytail down get out stray hairs and then put it up again and I want a life. I shaved it for six months a year and a half ago and its not long yet but I am growing. I am seeing that the spikiness when I first did it wasn't working for me very well it added volume that i needed but too much I have priviously loved my hair color but now wearing the grays and muted towns my hair is too red/ brown. I don't know how to tone it down. but I am not going to dye my hair every couple of weeks.

Mary DidYouKnow

I wish I had the type of hair that could be the center of attention. I never would have cut it.

Cala Mitchell

As a T3, S4 I find my most happiness with a super short pixie wirh short chunky point bangs. I cannot bear the feeling of hair on my face. I like it slightly messy but am very deliberate about how the mess is created. My fave hair product is a Decleor baume essentiel. I can wear my short bangs off my face or down in casual spikey pieces. Bottom line I do not have to feel it moving around or mess with it. Color I play with more in any shade of red or my natural white blonde.

C Mac

The type 4 had brown hair in many of her older pics and it appears nearly black now. It suits her.

Taina Williams

Ok ok, I well dye it back to black today. It's already totally straight.

Melissa Andrews

I’m a type 3, secondary 1 and I’ve watched Anne’s tutorial and put it to the test. And, I love ❤️ my curly hair!

Dear Ambellina

The Type 2 woman here needs to go more ash-blonde with her highlights, because her blonde is still quite warm.

Selestine Overholser

I’ve naturally curly hair. It was bit frizzy years ago. I decided to stop hating and fighting my curls. That’s when The Curly Girl Method found me. Look it up! I learned to encourage the natural movement and how to care for it. My curls are defined, healthy and natural color. I love it and I embrace my curls!

Anna mc

Awesome. ..I am a type one watching and I am wearing the same jeans as the Type 1 here (Julia).

LaMissa1

I can relate to your hair being your identity. I had really long hair and got compliments all the time. I once got some very subtle highlights put in and loved how it looked, so before I got married, I wanted that same look again, but the hair stylist did NOT do subtle at all! It looked like I was platinum blond all over (which looking back, I think the problem with it was that it was too cool of a color, and being a type 1, I need it warm). Anyway, I was DEVASTATED about my hair. I cried all day long (and even some the next day) because the part of me that got so much positive attention was gone! I went back and got it fixed, so it was all good, but looking back I’m kind of surprised I let myself get so worked up about my hair, as if it was the only good thing about myself.
I was in the middle of four sisters, and out of all of them, I was the biggest body type. They were all wearing size XS and S (my mom was S and M) while I wore M and L, so I thought my whole life that I was not a good weight (especially when one sister asked to borrow one of my shirts while she was pregnant!). I was a great weight though! I looked just right, and I’m kind of sad that I spent so much of my life thinking that I wasn’t good enough and that my hair was the only thing beautiful about myself (especially now that I’m older and have had kids and really do need to work on taking care of that baby weight).
Sorry that this is such a novel, but I just wanted to say that loving yourself is a very important thing that lots of people miss out on. I’ve been working on that more lately, and I’m not great at it yet, but I’m better than I was. DYT has definitely helped with that. I feel like it has given me permission to be my light and playful self who needs fun and not feel ashamed of that. ?

Lauren Tabor

I’m so grateful for dressing your truth. I’m a type 2/1, but before I learned about this, I used to straighten my hair. Now, thanks to Carol and Anne (type 2 expert) I’ve learned to love my curls and how to care for them.

Angelica Adan

I don't like my hair it's really thick frizzy and unmanageable. I wish I had nice hair.

Penelope J

What about face shape?

Mrs Rosenberger

I love how you bring your family together in this process and celebrate each persons individuality.

Joan Jones

great comentary.
