What would work best for dry acne prone somewhat sensitive skin? All I use right now is jojoba oil as a moisturizer, dr bronner's diluted as a cleanser, and Origin's drink up intensive overnight mask to help with dryness. The mask only provides a daily solution but I'd like something that will help with dryness more on the long term.

Which products are good oily skin?

Hi Leda, you look amazing!!! Where we can buy THD ascorbate?

Oh gosh I want to use these products sooo much. Unfortunately, the products have apricot and mushroom which I'm allergic too. Your skin is so gorgeous and you are so knowledgeable. Would you recommend anything else I could use for vitamin c

There is one from odinary plz review it also

Wonderful video! I love THD Ascorbate! I currently use the Transdermal C Serum by Truth Treatment Systems BUT it is 200 bucks! I'm looking for alternatives. Now that I went to your website, I want to try EVERYTHING! LOL Will you ever be doing a sample kit with everything? Your skin is absolutely beautiful!

Have you ever seen DMSO used in skin products?
Just wondering because I made a black suave containing bloodroot powder, chaparral powder, galangal powder, Graviola powder, DMSO, Zinc Chloride, vegetable glycerine, and distilled water And the DMSO was for bringing all the other substances into the skin, although the amount of DMSO was only 12 ml for a 500ml batch.

The Ordinary Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Vitamin C Solution 20% in Vitamin F Review

7 351 views | 18 Nov. 2018

I am proud to offer my very own beauty products at Amazon. We are starting small but hope to grow these offerings. Take a look and if you can pick one or two up, it helps keep this channel truly independent.

I've tried many of The Ordinary's Vitamin C Products and many of them work well but are unpleasing aesthetically- some leave a grainy feeling on the skin and others leave skin feeling tacky after applying them.  The Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F is probably the most aesthetically pleasing of all their Vitamin C products, although it does leave skin feeling very slightly tacky, but not nearly as much as other c serums.  If you have very dry skin this is a good option, although the form of Vitamin C isn't as immediately effective for brightening or helping with hyperpigmentation, but this does help in the long run.  This did cause a breakout the first time I used this, but no issues after that.  I'm guessing its the coconut alkanes and the squalane.  I would recommend starting out slow if you have sensitive skin or acne prone skin.  I love that this is fragrance free and does not contain denatured alcohol.  Nice and hydrating option.

Is this oil clear in color? I'm slightly worried since the product i received come in yellow brownish color ?

I need a new vit C for sure, ty for review, will wait for another...

I got my brush cleaners today in the mail when I get home from work I'm very happy and I cannot wait to try them, tysm!!!

I use this on my hands. It has removed all my age related/sun spots. P. S. We all have a zillion apothecary bottles crowding our bathrooms. The next step is to design bathrooms for skin gods.

Isnt it the best form of vitamin c ?

I use Timeless Vitamin C! :D It's the best! I use it every morning after cleansing or just splashing my face and neck with water. :)

Michelle Parsons

Thanks for reviewing this one!!! Mine is supposed to be here this week. I’m a little concerned about it breaking me out. I may alternate using it with the Timeless Vitamin C. I’m currently out of it but hoping they’ll do a 50% off sale for Black Friday. I also like the Maelove but mine started turning around the two month mark.

Interesting when you said coconut oil is known to cause issues with pores. Does this mean that coconut oil as a makeup remover will enlarge pores? I use it all the time for this as I thought it was a great first step before cleansing, but now I am wondering if it is making my pores more visible. Thank you!!

Sweety Sial

Is it make skin tone bright and glowing???is it works for freckles and hyperpigmentation????

I have wanted to try out products from The Ordinary since I first heard of the line. I go onto their site all the time and add products to my cart/bag but then I come across another one of their products that essentially describes the same benefits for the same skin issues, this is something I find quite a lot within the ordinary line. I always end up so overwhelmed by the number of choices, and based on the description of the products and what skin type it's for and the benefits I end up thinking I need almost all of it and I literally just dont know what to buy, so I leave the website and tell myself I will come back to it another time, and the same thing happened each time lol. The main issue is that I'm not very skincare savvy lol, and I just feel like I need it all in order to see benefits, and I also dont know what can and cannot be used together or what goes first then second and so on. If you (or anyone who is familiar with the ordinary skincare line) would be able to give me some advice on what I should be using for the concerns I have, or if possible, could even tell me what products to buy and the order they should be applied, I would GREATLY appreciate the help. As for my skin concerns: I'm a 32 year old woman with super dry, often times flaking skin that usually looks a lot worse after applying makeup because makeup tends to look even drier and gets built up on dry areas (and that's with good moisturizing primers, facial oil, moisturizer for dry to very dry skin, and still looks as though I didnt put a single thing on my face to moisturize it, I even finish off my makeup with hydrating and dewy setting sprays to try and meld everything together and get rid of that dry "makeup look" those of us with dry skin usually get (and just to note, I always stay FAR away from ANYTHING that claims to be mattifying lol).
What I'm looking for in a skincare regimen is most importantly to resurface this dry, dull, flakey skin, and just as importantly I want to seriously target texture on my face, and to smooth the surface. I NEED as much moisture and hydration as an alligator LOL, also highly important is targeting fine lines and wrinkles I've already been noticing between my eyebrows (which I'm sure is from constantly squinting my eyes...when I'm not wearing my glasses especially lol), the forehead lines and those annoying lines/wrinkles we get right under our eyes that just happen to be right where we apply undereye concealer and setting powder..so it looks even worse than it really is a few hours after applying makeup... when any makeup in that area seems to settle right in and make itself at home lol. I also want a good brightening serum (I guess vitamin C)? But they just have SOO many different vitamin C products to choose from.
Thank you to ANYONE, and EVERYONE who can lead me in the right direction with the products from the ordinary. Its just way to overwhelming for me...especially with not knowing much about skincare.
Thanks again ?

Nina Bolinder

Thank you for this review. I have it .
Their products are pretty good.

I always watch ur reviews about skincare products and give me clear picture which type skincare products I must bring out. Last time I only bring hair oil product, but soon will bring out my skincare products.
Thanks for ur reviews

I always watch your reviews even if I’m not thinking about buying the products ?

Margie Louise

Hey there! I totally agree with everything you said about this product. Definitely not as good for brightening but it’s still somehow nice for feeding skin and moisture. How would you compare Avene Retrinyl to Paula’s Choice 1 percent retinol? Supposedly the Avene is less irritating and can be used everyday. Not sure I believe it. Thanks!

Great review! Thank you. I noticed NIOD has an interesting Vitamin C, the Ethylated L-Ascorbic Acid. Have you ever tried that one? I am attracted to the fact that it's supposed to be stable so I don't have to worry about reduced efficacy. I would LOVE to know your thoughts. ??

Carrie Mroczkowski

Great review. After watching the Mad Hippie video, I think I’m going to give that one a go.
Thanks, loveee??.

The bottle in this video is Ascorbyl glucoside not the Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate

I’ve been looking at TO for a while now. I’ve heard they’re amazing from most people but then negative reviews from others.

Jamila M

Maybe you could do a vs video on this product and the vitamin c+ ferulic acid from timeless, and a vs video on the ordinary l ascorbic powder and the vitamin c powder from philosophy

Southern Belle

I like this vitamin c for its moisturizing affects and being fast absorbing compared to other facial oils . I haven’t noticed much skin brightening from it though.

Tomas Ferreira

What is the name of the vitamin c product you mentioned that offers the brightening effect?

Kelly Wolfe

Dang it they almost had me until the coconut oil thank you for your video's ?????
