Also, to keep it liquid at room temperature add olive oil to melted coconut oil.  Very small amounts of olive oil are needed.  One poster on another thread used 1 tablespoon per the typical 14oz coconut oil jar.   Thanks for the video

we have made our own coconut butter before from whole coconut flakes. coconut butter is both the oil and the whole coconut flesh, as the oil is just the oil.

I use a "candle warmer" for the one pound jars (or put in a smaller container) - takes about a 1/2 hour or so to melt the entire jar. I make 1/2 tsp "disks". I pour the melted coconut oil into 1/2 tsp "candy molds" then freeze / refrigerate till solid then put in dish (leave in frig). I use these for cooking, coffee, etc
