Skin chafing on long day hikes has been one of the most painful experiences I have ever had on trail. In this video I talk about what I use to prevent chafing and blisters from happening!

Gotta luv the honest truth. For me humid summer days and the Allegheny 100 was the perfect formula for under carriage serious chafe. Now I add a plastic film cannister full of Vermonts finest "Bag Balm" in my first aid. Also glad to see Leuko tape being promoted. During our 100 hour Adventure Races we always used Leuko on hot spots. One tip we learned with scissors is to round the edges of tape so it does not catch on socks etc. Happy Adventuring.....
Can recommend Ex Officio Boxer Briefs. Hanes has a more inexpensive alternative, X-Temp Boxer Briefs but you have to make sure to get the 100% polyester. I’ll have to try the Vaseline, Body Glide doesn’t burn me but doesn’t seem to help much either.

I love Leukotape --- it's saved my feet so many times and I don't leave the trailhead without it any more! Great tip on the Vaseline ... I don't do the huge mile days that you and Britney put in, but I definitely feel some issues when I hit the end of a 17 mile day for sure! Thanks!
