16 925 views | 21 Dec. 2017

I am OBSESSED with this

I am OBSESSED with this super simple DIY for our four-legged friends. With super easy to find ingredients and an even easier application process, this is a doggy DIY you'll make again and again. This powder flights flea, itch, and odor in one swoop!

What you’ll need:

- 1 Mason Jar with a lid (you’re going to use a nail + hammer to create about 20 holes so you’ve got a sifting jar)

- Fill your jar 50% with baking soda and 50% with corn starch

- Add 5 drops of tea tree oil essential oil (https://goo.gl/xw6tbx), 5 drops of eucalyptus oil (https://goo.gl/9QBAjg), 5 drops of peppermint essential oil (https://goo.gl/X1NxBy) and 5 drops of rosemary essential oil (https://goo.gl/Yn9PzA).

My dog got hit by a car 3 weeks ago and injured right hip. I'm so sad to see he's itching and he can't use his legs. I can't bathe him normally cuz he's still in pain. Ex Ray result say he's going to limp for the rest of his life. I'll try this dry shampoo today. Thanks you.

Shyamala Annie

Sunshine is so adorable. But I think you are partial ....you love Sunshine more than the other two. You didn't even show the 3rd dog.

This is great......I also give my dog 1 omega 3 every day.  It takes about three weeks to start working and it does wonders for dry itchy skin......I've tried every cream, shampoo and antibiotics from the vet for my little guys problem and it still persisted until the tech. mentioned omega 3......I hide it in his food and he never knows he's eating it.  1 year so far and clear skin...

Do you have a recipe for ear mites?

Madam you are a wonderful host. Short sweet and informative. Thank you mam

My family are Pomeranian CRAZY! We've owned them for three decades and currently have two Pom babies: Na-Nuk & Theo. BTW: My 7 year old Pom, Na-Nuk had Alopecia X for YEARS until I began rubbing coconut oil onto his black skin. I stopped when I could no longer get the oil onto his skin due to hair re-growth. ALL of his hair grew back but he still had an order on his back so I bathed him once weekly for a few weeks with Castile Soap + several drops of Gentian Violet (used to treat thrush in infants) and the black skin underneath his hair flaked off! My baby no longer has Alopecia X and the yeasty smell is gone (: Thank you for your NATURAL suggestions! I have made so many of them and they work great!

Sunshine looks like a giant teddy bear! Hehe :3

However, if your pet has itchy skin, the continuous scratching can lead to severely damaged skin with sores. In certain cases, your loyal companion may even start biting and chewing its skin out of sheer frustration. Home Remedy # 3:

Coconut Oil

Extra-virgin coconut oil consists of medium-chain fatty acids that work to rehydrate and moisturize dry, itchy skin. You can massage extra-virgin coconut oil into your dog’s skin to provide relief. Continue massaging the oil into the affected skin for at least 1 week .

Omega-3 Fish Oil

Omega-3 fatty acids are an excellent supplement to boost your pet’s health. The easiest way to get your dog to consume fish oil is by piercing the capsule and adding the liquid directly to its moist food. Feed fish oil daily for 7 to 10 days to treat itchy skin in dogs.

How to Stop Dog Itching Fast With 7 Natural Home Remedy Options:

No.1. Calendula comes from a medicinal plant that's anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-tumor and a great wound healer. You can buy the powder and use directly on your dogs skin for relief and healing of dog skin allergies.

Calendula is also great to stop dog itching that's worse at night on paws, ears, flanks etc.

No.2. Oregano is a perennial plant best known for Italian cooking but with amazing healing power for treating itchy dog skin allergies, Candida, mange and yeast infections.

Mix the pure oregano oil with virgin olive oil at 1 part oregano oil to 4 parts olive oil, a 20% solution.

Oregano oil has excellent anti-fungal properties. For yeast infection, cancers, allergies, parasites, digestive problems, kennel cough or to boost the immune system, rub some oregano oil mixed with virgin olive oil on the pads of your dogs feet and between toes daily.

It will soak in and do the job of an antibiotic for internal infections but without killing off your dogs gut flora like vet prescribed antibiotics do.

For skin legions, skin cancers, sarcoptic and demodectic mange, bee stings and bug bites, ear infection, muscle pain, arthritis, contact dermatitis, stop your dogs itch and any type of external yeast infection, rub the 20% solution onto the area daily to stop dog itching fast.

No.3. Neem oil is just about anti everything and a real doctor in a bottle, proven to heal mange, mites and ward off or kill fleas and ticks. Dilute the neem oil at a light starting regimen of 1:10 (1 part neem oil to 10 parts carrier oil) in a light carrier oil (e.g. grape seed oil or almond oil).

Mix well and then massage the oil mixture into the skin over the affected area. You can apply it daily on problem spots.

For hot spots such as moist eczema, or when treating demodectic and sarcoptic mange and ringworm, you can increase the concentration to a 1:4 ratio (1 part neem oil to 4 parts carrier oil).

Also monitor the skin, and if there is any reaction, or irritation over the next 48 hrs wash the oil off with a mild soap and water.

Generally though, neem oil is found to be an amazing skin and hair conditioner, promoting healthier skin repair and a more lustrous shiny coat. It will also soothe the skin and stop dog itching fast.

No.4. Coconut oil has great anti itch properties and you can simply scoop from the tub and rub all over the coat to treat an itchy dog and feed dry skin.

No.5. Basil has good anti-oxidant, antiviral and anti-microbial properties. Just add a few leaves to your dogs food to stop your dog itching and scratching.

No.6. Aloe Vera makes a great salve if you have some growing. Simply slice it open and use the slimy gel directly on your dogs skin for relief of dog skin conditions. Allow to dry and repeat as often as needed.

No.7. And last, Colloidal silver is an effective antibiotic, antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral so great for yeasty dog ear infections. You can apply as an ear wash to clean out the ears, then deliver half a dropper into the ear canal to kill an ear infection quickly.

Your dog will shake out the excess and infections have been known to resolve within 24hrs. And there's also a spray available for easy administration to stop dog itching naturally.
