I stopped using tretinoin
I stopped using tretinoin and here is my experience. I’ve used tretinoin 0.025% and 0.05% for 1 year and it was a rough journey but it was worth it. Tretinoin is a very high strength product that can cause purging and a lot of irritation in the form of dryness and dehydration. It sensitizes your skin to the sun and other things too.
However, regardless of these downsides, tretinoin really transformed my skin. It helped treat my acne and cleared up my acne. It also treated my acne scars, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and dark spots.
Here is my video on my tretinoin journey (with before and after pictures): https://youtu.be/bJJIG5TGK5g
Tretinoin is the gold standard for treating acne and has been for a long time. It can help with acne, pimples, closed comedones, blind pimples, blackheads and so much more. While tretinoin is really good for treating acne prone skin, it can cause a lot of unwanted irritation in the form of purging, dryness, flaking, dehydration, dry skin etc. Make sure you do your research on tretinoin before using it. It’s not something to take lightly because if you don’t use it the right way, you could potentially cause more damage to your skin.

⚠️ Caution: Tretinoin is a super-strong vitamin a product. Compared to other retinoids and retinol products, tretinoin is the most irritating. There are side effects that come with it such as dryness, dehydration, flaking. So make sure you do your research and understand what tretinoin is before you make a decision to use it.
Disclaimer: I am not a doctor, dermatologist, aesthetician, or anything in the skincare field. I am not telling you or recommending you to use tretinoin because I am not allowed to do so. Make sure you ask a dermatologist about using tretinoin or use it at your own risk.

My skin jus doesn’t like me. I’m sure if i stop my acne will be back with a vengeance
Have you tried cutting dairy? It helped me alot with the blind pimples I used to get.
Also I have those red/brown acne marks on my cheeks from those huge pimples that would stay for months.
Currently I’m using Alpha arbutin, it’s working fine till now. And will start with retionol from the ordinary after that. What do you suggest?
