Male 48yrs diabetic developed redness and tenderness over the back and it was looks like sebaceous cyst with punctuation mark. We decided to remove the cyst with pus.

A sebaceous cyst is a small lump or bump under the skin. This type of cyst is not cancerous. ... Usually a sebaceous cyst grows very slowly and doesn't cause pain. However, they can become inflamed or infected, with the overlying skin becoming red, tender, and sore.

Sebaceous cysts are common noncancerous cysts of the skin. Cysts are abnormalities in the body that may contain liquid or semiliquid material.

Sebaceous cysts are mostly found on the face, neck, or torso. They grow slowly and aren’t life-threatening, but they may become uncomfortable if they go unchecked.

Sebaceous cysts form out of your sebaceous gland. The sebaceous gland produces the oil (called sebum) that coats your hair and skin.

Cysts can develop if the gland or its duct (the passage from which the oil is able to leave) becomes damaged or blocked. This usually occurs due to a trauma to the area.

The trauma may be a scratch, a surgical wound, or a skin condition, such as acne. Sebaceous cysts grow slowly, so the trauma may have occurred weeks or months before you notice the cyst.

Your doctor can treat a cyst by draining it or by surgically removing it. Normally, cysts are removed. This isn’t because they’re dangerous but rather for cosmetic reasons.

Since most cysts aren’t harmful to your health, your doctor will allow you to choose the treatment option that works for you.

It’s important to remember that without surgical removal, your cyst will usually come back. The best treatment is to ensure complete removal through surgery. Some people do decide against surgery, however, because it can cause scarring.

I always wonder why a lot of other doctors etc don't use the vacuum tube to suck & drain away all the infection & puss.. most iv seen on YouTube wipe away the infected liquid/puss with cloth which I find more messy.. & a waste of material.. I like how you do things x

Dr. Tusar, I love all of your videos, and I really enjoy them. Keep them coming!
However, I’m really irritated at YouTube for making professionals like you, blur your videos because there’s “too much blood!” Please, anytime surgery is performed, there’ll be blood.
YouTube get off of your high horse and get a life! There are more disturbing videos on here about abandoned and abused animals that really shouldn’t be on here and you get on doctors and surgeons who want to educate the public and other up and coming doctors. If someone gets squeamish about surgery videos, they shouldn’t watch them. You act more like the FCC with censoring than any other place. This used to be a place where you could watch any kind of video about any type of surgery, and ACTUALLY LEARN SOMETHING! But now, these videos are so censored that it’s hard to learn about certain conditions because you aren’t able to see what happened because it’s blurred!
I apologize for getting on my soapbox and griping. It’s just ridiculous how many hoops doctors have to jump through just to post a video on this site! No wonder Dr. Pimple Popper has her own website now!

Fantastic job!!! I love when you use the vacuum tubing to remove the pus. It was a quick video. I'm sure it was probably plain old Staphylococcus as I didn't see you collect a culture. Where was the cyst? It appeared to be on the back but I'm not sure.

I do best with 9 hours per night. I have a variety of conditions including ra that cause fatigue. Unfortunately, at least once per week I end up working a 14 hour day on about 4 hour's sleep. I try to make it up the next day by working 3/4 shift. I've tried ambien and lunesta with so-so results; sleep, but awake feeling not rested. Also, like another commenter, several times I found myself awakened by the buzzer at 2 or 3 am by the Grubhub delivery guy. I ordered food and had no recollection of it. On another occasion I ordered bizarre looking pajamas for my elderly parents and only learned about it the next day when PayPal notified me! Lunesta isnt much better. After taking it I awoke sitting on the floor beneath the kitchen table, butt naked! My nightgown was folded neatly atop my pillow. Ever since a work colleague had sleep-sex with his downstairs neighbor while taking ambien, I quit taking both medications. Instead, I listen to a cd of monastic compline prayers chanted in Latin. Even if I don't sleep, I can pray along and rest my heart and mind. I've tried melatonin, but it didn't do anything.

normally I get 6-8 hours of sleep. But I am currently training for basic training this summer so I am running and going to the gym a lot, I find that this isnt enough sleep and when Friday night comes i'll go to be at 10pm or 9pm and wake up at 12pm usually. I have chronic insomnia with a touch of sleep apnea and restless leg. I get a wide range of sleep average about 6 hours per day. I sometimes don't sleep for several days and then pass out without steady medication.

can't take most of the sleep meds. the lunesta causes me to sleepwalk.

what works for me is 30mg of melatonin taken in 10mg bursts 30 minutes apart. sometimes depending on my aleegies I will take a benedryl. it doesn't always take that much melatonin but it is generaly what works. and I'll take anything that works as chronic lack of sleep can cause major health problems.

I've tried all of the behavioral stuff already. exercise, schedules, etc. what works is what works.

I do have one pill that's for emergencies. unisom works but I better not expect to be up in the next 14 or so hours and I feel like I got hit by a truck after.

I have bad sleep apnea I use to wake up 76 times and hour so it was recorded and I use to stop breathing and then suddenly gasp for air. For 3 years now I have been wearing a sleep mask and now I have full deep sleep for about 8 hours or more. If anyone suffers with their sleeping get checked out for sleep apnea it really is amazing with a mask on.

I get 2 to maybe 6 at the most broken sleep, I don't take anything currently to help me sleep but I am taking quite a few painkillers as I have fibromyalgia and restless leg syndrome and PTSD so if it's not pain keeping me up it's my legs and if it's not my legs then it's nightmares and flashbacks I hate night time but YouTube has kept me sane

At most maybe 5-6 hours a night. I only get tired at 12 or 1 so it's hard for me to actually fall asleep. Been this way my whole life. Also my anxiety keeps me up at times.

I've used melatonin for about 2 years now but I'm always wary because of long term memory loss with its use. So if anyone knows anything about that please I'd love your input.
