Is this acne safe?
hey, good video. would you recommend this sunscreen or the other eucerin gel cream dry touch one? is one lighter than the other, and do you think one is better for oily skin? Thanks :)
Sunscreen gives me a lot of pimples so Im looking for one for sensitive + oily skin (even tho I`m sensitive + combination like you). I will give this one a try. Thanks a lot!
Interesting, will buy this and test it. nice video
*This is a great
*This is a great sunscreen for body, and for face during periods of high sun exposure, ie. going to the beach, working outdoors, etc. Probably not the most friendly daily use face sunscreen though.

*** Since there is so much to sunscreen, sun protection, and preventing UV damage, I decided to include several resources that you can use for additional information- see below**
BASF Sunscreen Simulator- this is a great resource, you can enter in the active ingredients of a sunscreen and it will give you information on UVA and UVB protections based upon those ingredients. You can also use this to estimate the PPD (persistent pigment darkening). PPD is a great way to estimate how much protection you are getting from a sunscreen. I will discuss this more in future sunscreen week videos.
The Klog has a great article that explains many of the terms relating to sunscreen, such as what SPF stands for, what PA means, etc.
EU Sunscreen Regulations
UV Index Forecast
EPA UV Index
Sunscreen regulations throughout the world-
Sunscreen Filters Chart (use this in addition to other resources since this is not the “end all be all” of sunscreen research)

Since so many of you asked for it, here is a link to my favorite PH testing strips
I bought this sunscreen at the airport for a relatively high price for me as a student. The good thing is that it's in a 100 ml bottle and can be used for 24 months after being opened but otherwise it peels terribly and I cannot use it with my niacinamide serum in the morning, for example
This is so interesting. My skin is on the olive warm side and I have no white cast at all. It is just a little shiny added that my skin is oily. It is waterproof, that is why it is hard to remove, but an oil/ balm cleanser removes it easily. If I apply it over my other skincare products it peels, but if I apply it on clean dry skin it is not distributed uniformly. It dries up really fast, that is why I have to be quick with the application. And so, the way I use it and it makes things easier is that I apply it over the moisturizer (Natural Moisturizing Factors from The Ordinary). I don't have to reapply it and I feel very safe with it. Indeed it needs some workarounds, but the safety of it (in extreme conditions, water, sweat) is so worth it!
A sunscreen can have an SPF of 100 and UVAPF of 100 but if it isn’t cosmetically elegant, with lots of compromises and is difficult to apply, nobody’s gonna want to apply it
Of all of Ultrasun’s sunscreens, Gothamista’s favourite is the face brightening anti spot and anti pollution fluid spf 50, it is probably more aesthetically pleasing
Are you going to choose your top 3 in the end of the two weeks?
