Polystyrene sulfonates are
Polystyrene sulfonates are polymers derived from polystyrene but containing sulfonic acid or sulfonate functional groups. The linear polymer is white when very pure and is water-soluble. The crosslinked material does not dissolve in water and typically appears amber in color. These polymers are classified as polysalts and ionomers. They are widely used to remove ions from a solution in technical or medical applications.

I Know it can be sometimes
I Know it can be sometimes a bit too much to take in so lets just break it down a bit. What are sulfates? why are they bad for out hair/skin? How do I know if my shampoo has sulfate in it?
Heres some basic information for the people that are starting in this and don't want to be overwhelmed with hundred of pages of information.
Thank you guys SO much for watching!
*LETS BE FRIENDS*
Really enjoyed this! I'd love a video on the other ingredients to avoid, such as silicons & parabens as you said. Very informative and concise; also liked the before and after pic - I've only recently discovered the CG community and how to better take care of my wavy/ curly hair instead of straightening it every time I shower! My current curl pattern is kinda between your previous and current hair so am excited to see how it'll look in 10 months too (after I hopefully stick to a sulphate-free shampoo!)
Que cabelo mais lindo.

Curlfriends!! Hello! In this video I'm sharing with you 3 awesome ingredients that you NEED to know about when looking for a shampoo! Let's eliminate the stress of choosing hair care products, one ingredient (INCI) at a time. :D
2. Cocomidopropyl Betaine
3. Sodium C14-C16 Olefin Sulfonate (sounds scary, but it's curl friendly.)

Hey! I just love all your videos. Been binge watching the past 48h ?
I was just wondering if you could do a video on black soap (if you don't hace one already). I've been shampooing with that the last year or so... but haven't found a chemistry based video on that yet. Other than that, I hope you are doing fine! Keep going, you are an answer to many prayers!!!
My shampoo has 2 of the 3 ingredients? it also has hydrolyzed wheat protein ???????? Kera Care Hydrating Detangling Shampoo.
