Sam, what you can do to avoid cakeyness for retouching is blotting off your oils and then going in with re powdering. Works so much better that way.

A little late with jumping on the BarePRO foundation train....After watching so many of your videos (always gorgeous makeup!) I finally went out and purchased this foundation with their recommended brush and I followed your technique with applying, but the foundation just does not look like it's on my skin. I'm using their primer and tried the brush and the provided sponge. The sponge seemed to make the makeup appear more, but it's been 5 hours and it's super patchy. Any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated!

I love this product. I've been a BM user for more than 12years. I cannot wear the original because of the bismuth, therefore, I mixe two mattes. Problem was it could be drying on my combo skin in the winter. This I use in the winter with no problem. I also no longer have to mix.

I HATED Ready. Passionately. Fire of a thousand suns intensity. That much. My skin is combination and it made my skin look like I'd mixed chalk dust with Vaseline and ground it into my pores, even with primer. So glad it's gone.

Hi Shelby I have been experimenting with different powder foundations I can’t do liquids. I found that Lancôme dual powder foundation was good cause you could use a damp kabuki brush for extra coverage, and I tried using Mac fix plus foundation with a damp brush also and it went on really nice too. You compared the bare pro to Mac as very close, I’m tempted to try the bare pro with a damp brush, what is your take on the idea? Have you tried it?

This foundation is awful - it's full of talc and silicone, not "vitamins"! I never get spots but having used BarePro for one week I now have cystic acne on my chin and nose.

Thankfully I bought it from QVC so will be returning it for a refund.

I for one LOVED the Ready Foundation. The 330 Golden Tan was the most perfect color for me of any foundation I have ever used. While the BarePro looks great on you, it has talc in it, which makes me itchy. I can't believe that a company that claims to have good-for-you ingredients in their makeup is now using talc...very very disappointed :(

I don't have any of the bareMinerals primer, serums or other skincare, what kinds of primer would you recommend? Silicone based? I live in Seattle, but bought this for a late spring early summer trip to TX for a wedding and CA for our anniversary after! I feel like the shades might run lighter, bare pro 07 comes off lighter and more neutral than ready foundation in "golden" and my original "light" shade. And I can get away with buttercream or bamboo in the complexion rescue, but the bare pro was too light for me. ?
I did order online though, so maybe seeing it in person will help with my shade selection.

LOVE this Bare Pro powder. SO much better than the Ready compact. The Ready made me SO greasy every time I wore it and also felt "thick" and heavy. It was a strange powder that almost felt like it was almost a thick liquid that had dried into a powder, was kind of sticky, cakey and it didn't go on well. The Bare Pro goes on so nicely, covers well, feels good on the skin and I really like the finish SO much better. It really looks pretty on!

I actually love your makeup better at the end of the day rather than the beginning. I will have to go get some of this. I'm still using the original powder foundation

I have combo skin really bad but the best thing to try is the complexion rescue and then bare pro on top! It gives you a full complexion it's amazing. I then set it with the warming powder due to how oily my skin gets and I was surprised how well it works!!!!!!!!

I just invested in the BarePro foundation and I've been playing with it for a few days. I haven't tried using the complexion rescue as a primer yet, but that'll be my next experiment since I already have it. So far I'm loving it and this will be my go-to for an everyday, better version of myself. I also use the bareskin concealer, the Becca Sunchaser palette, my Sweet Peach palette for eyes and MAC Gigablast mascara. I've been setting with the Pixi illuminating spray, and so far, all systems go.

Congrats on 100k! so deserving! I use a cc or bb cream under my powder foundation n I love it! I've been using the pur cosmetics pressed foundation but definitely want to try Mac!
